After forty years of climbing here in Scotland, I felt the essence of this fine short film. It captures so much of what Scottish Winter mountaineering is all about.
No blue skies in this movie!
Not many in my climbing career here either!
That’s the reality, and some of the addiction about it.
Facing up to the physical hardship is part of the appeal.
This great wee film gets that… Well done!

Thanks for your comments Edward. It’s a great wee film isn’t it, by two great ambassadors of British climbing and I too feel that it hits the mark. Here’s to many great days of winter climbing and mountaineering this coming season, blue skies or no blue skies!
