Sunday, 30 August 2009

This fairly poor summer we have had is now feeling fairly autumnal. These shots are from yesterday in Steall Meadow at the head of Glen Nevis. Early snow is just around the corner?

Alpine Course

Saturday, 22 August 2009

Thanks to George Morris for these pictures of the recent alpine intro course.

The summit of Aig du Tour above the Trient Glacier.

Early morning starts. Just one of the many delights (?) of alpine travel. At least by lunchtime you should be sampling a refreshing drink near the valley.

Unsettled Weather

Monday, 17 August 2009

Challenging conditions on the Skye Ridge last week.

A Birthday 'dram' on the summit of Ben Nevis yesterday. Well done Chris.

Fairly unsettled weather over recent weeks. Also Blogger is proving to be unhelpful loading my pages just now. This picture taken yesterday by
Al Halewood who was working for me on Ledge Route in 'Rugged' weather and on recent Skye Ridge Traverse attempts.
