Wet

Tuesday, 16 December 2008

Lots of snow is being stripped off in the current mild spell. On Dorsal Arete today most of the belay points were dangerously loose as a deep thaw moved through. As predicted the weather cleared up later in the afternoon and a cold snap is forecast tonight, before more mild conditions approach. The turf was still well frozen where it showed through. The buttresses are running with copious amounts of water.
