Check out Ten Day Weather Charts

These show at least ten days of pretty unsettled and wintry weather to come. This all bodes extremely well for early winter at least, if not further ahead. The snowpack is getting deeper and therefore harder to shift if a big thaw sets in. Currently, extensive snow cover well down below 600 metres.

As always, never try and 'second-guess' Scottish winters too far into the future. All I can say is that this one has started better than many in recent years, by some distance. Today is glorious.

We have plenty of space in the bunkhouse up until and including 26th December.
