Aonach Eagach

Tuesday, April 8, 2008

Hi Alan,
Traversed the Aonach Eagach ridge yesterday with Paul Freeman. The conditions were fine, the new snow was lying on relatively dry rock and made for reasonable going. Saw one other person who soloed the route. The usual 4 seasons in a day made for a great mountain day out. The path down to the Clachaig was as difficult as the ridge itself and demands a lot of care underfoot.
regards
Nick Bryan
Tayside Fire Rescue Climbing Club.

Thanks Nick, Coming down via the flanks of Clachaig Gully is NOT RECOMMENDED

Aim towards The Pap and then head off down rough trails to Grid Reference 111586 Two cars are best.
