High winds on the tops

The last eight days has seen a mixture of weather. Mostly good, but towards the end, we have been plagued by high winds on the tops above 4000 metres, which have effectively put paid to our plans for attempting Mt Blanc. Tonight it is raining consistently in Chamonix.
