Bidein Druim nan Ramh

Thursday, July 26, 2007

Another good but unsettled day on the northern section of the Skye ridge. Quite a number of folk avoid Bidein Druim nan Ramh, as it is not a 'munro'! However, this section is as dificult as any other part of the ridge and well worth the effort. We approached via Coire na Creiche to Bealach Harta, traversed the three tops southwards and descended from the extreme north side of Bealach Glaic Moire. In both ascent and descent these routes can be troublesome in mist.

Traversing the tops north to south involves some moderate to difficult climbing. In the opposite direction the difficult sections are normally abseiled.

Great views toward Coruisk and Loch Scavaig.
