Heavy Showers - Thunderstorms

Monday, June 25, 2007

Last night was very wet and today it's heavy showers. Staying with Mark Seaton another guide living in the Chamonix valley within site of Mt Blanc and the Dru, it's difficult not to take loads of photos of the changing scenes.

Check out Chamonix Weather

Swiss Meteo This is of interest, as it shows on the radar, that the current unsettled weather is not all over the Alps. If you head east and south from Chamonix, towards Switzerland and Italy, climbing and weather conditions will improve. It will still be a good idea to stay at lower altitudes for a day or two though. As usual in the Alps, be prepared to watch the weather and travel for a couple of hours.
