Baking on the Buachaille

Ben Nevis from Buachaille Etive Mor
Curved Ridge upper sector
Top pitch of Agag's Groove
Shorts and light top. Chalk and sticky boots are the order of the day just now, with plenty of very warm clear weather in the light easterly breeze. I went climbing with Ken yesterday and we succeeded on Agag's Groove and January Jigsaw, with abseil descents in between to speed things up and take the strain off of my knees! This is standard practice on this crag, but be careful of rappeling down onto other parties from the block at the top of January Jigsaw. Very anti-social. The big easy gullies on Ben Nevis still have some old snow left for a quiet day out, but some are still carrying large rotten cornices, so beware.

The Mountain Magpie reports finding a very trendy pair of 'Shades' on the path from Lagangarbh. An accurate description of colour, style, make and other items in the case, plus a few quid postage will have them flying back to the owner!
